The course is physically quite large. You will receive a complete lesson book, 20 instructional “session” DVDs, and 5 play along CDs, and there is also more material available online. The company has produced a very high quality product. The instruction is first rate, and the DVDs and CDs are of incredibly good quality, which is a pleasant surprise. There is also a “Home School Edition” available that includes a Teacher’s Guide and 2 DVDs, to help parents direct their children through the course.

Learn and Master Guitar provides customer support by both telephone and email, and also offers free online support. Students can post questions on a “members only” forum website, and also communicate with other students to discuss their progress and questions. Unlike many online companies, you can actually get a customer representative on the phone during normal business hours, and they are courteous and well informed.

The reason that this program is not our “First Choice” is because although an incredibly good program, it is also not inexpensive.
